You can make changes to the models almost as you please! The dimensions of the building can be altered, and the roof type can be either a gable or a monopitch roof. The size of the windows and doors can also be customised to your liking. Those who appreciate traditional style can enhance the look of the log house with window grilles. This was done in the Villa Aurora, which charmed visitors at the Housing Fair.

Kuusamo Log Houses’ greatest strength and the heart of our business as a log house manufacturer is our precious raw material – wood! We manufacture our products from northern timber processed by Pölkky Oy. Northern timber is the best possible raw material, as its strength properties and workability are excellent.

You can choose between pine and spruce. Pine is the traditional wood species used for log homes and is used, for example, in the construction of many holiday homes and saunas. Spruce is the most popular wood species used for log houses. Kuusamo Log Houses’ spruce logs are light in colour, even-grained and contain few small knots, making them the number one choice for modern homes!

The intended use of your log building and your personal preferences will determine which log type and thickness is best suited to you.

You can choose between sheered short corner or cross corner joints depending on the style you are aiming for. The log profile is also available in styles suitable for both traditional and modern designs.

Our log selection stands out for its single-lamell construction. We do not glue the logs together at the horizontal joints, giving the log wall a calm and beautiful overall appearance.
